We invite and welcome you to come along and enjoy our 9 day Luxury coach tour from Perth, showcasing Margaret River known for its craft breweries, boutiques and surrounding wineries. This tour is the one to relax and enjoy the beautiful South Western corner of our land, seeing both the coastline from Busselton Jetty to the inland spectacle of Wave Rock. Day 1 Wednesday 3rd August 2022 D 

Sydney – Perth

After home pickups (or other prearranged pickup) we spend this morning travelling to the Sydney airport to board our flight into Perth, Western Australia is the country’s largest state, making up one-third of its land mass. On arrival be greeted by our coach and our friendly crew to transfer us to our night stay at Travelodge Perth (Ph: 08 9238 1888)

 

 

Day 2 Thursday 4th August 2022 BD 

Perth – Bunbury – Busselton – Margaret River

Travel South today to Bunbury and visit Taffys where you can enjoy watching Salt Water Taffy, that American seaside sweet sensation, being pulled and wrapped the old fashioned way! Next we visit the Busselton Jetty extending 1.8 kilometres across stunning Geographe Bay, the heritage listed jetty is the longest timber-piled jetty in the Southern Hemisphere. Jump on board the famous Jetty Train to reach the spectacular Underwater Observatory. Descend 8 metres below the water’s surface to discover some of the 300 different marine species below the jetty. Day 3 Friday 5th August 2022 B 

Margaret River – Free Day

Today enjoy a free day to relax and explore the beautiful region in and around Margaret River at your own pace and choosing. The area is famous for its wine, delicious produce, surf and a laid-back lifestyle. You may wish to spend the day tasting and exploring the region, discovering the galleries, arts and craft. While you wander through the township of Margaret River take the opportunity to decide your own cuisine for dinner tonight (own expense/ choosing).

 

Day 4 Saturday 6th August 2022 BD   

Margaret River – Cape Leeuwin – Pemberton – Walpole

This morning we enjoy a forest drive through the towering Karri trees arriving at Cape Leeuwin, where the Indian Ocean meets the Pacific Ocean. Spend time exploring the area and visit the historic lighthouse before travelling to the timber of town Pemberton. Visit the huge Gloucester Tree which was used for fire spotting. Returning to the coach, wind your way through more spectacular forest to the small village of Walpole and your overnight accommodation at Tree Top Walk Motel (Ph: 08 9840 1444)

 

Day 5 Sunday 7th August 2022 BD 

Walpole – Albany

This morning we bid farewell to Walpole as we visit the Valley of the Giants to gain a bird’s eye view from the Tree Top Walk through the 400 year old giant forests. This afternoon sees us travelling through Albany is a city at the southern tip of Western Australia, known for its rich history, commerce, culture, architecture and its beaches. Enjoy exploring where we will call home for the next 2 nights staying at Ace Motor Inn (Ph: 08 9841 2911)

 

Day 6 Monday 8th August 2022 BD

Albany

Following breakfast, we travel to nearby Torndirrup National Park to view the geological attractions of The Gap and Natural Bridge featuring dramatic views along the rugged coastline. Continue to Frenchman’s Bay and explore the now abandoned whaling station. As Australia’s last whaling station, it is remarkably well preserved and offers a fascinating insight into the outdated industry. Returning to town take some free time for lunch and explore the shops. This afternoon we visit the National ANZAC Centre to experience an emotional connection with the men and women who were involved in the First World War On 1 November 1914, the first convoy of Australian and New Zealand troops departed for the First World War from King George Sound, Albany. Then return to our hotel for a well-earned rest.

 

Day 7 Tuesday 9th August 2022 BD 

Albany – Wave Rock

Today we travel North to the Wheatbelt town of Hyden, an inland town situated in the a remote western area of Australia’s Golden Outback tourist region. Hyden is the tourist gateway town to the iconic Wave Rock and is surrounded by other granite outcrops. We take the afternoon explore this magnificent rock formation resembling a gigantic wave, was formed over three million years ago. Then take a short walk to discover Hippo’s Yawn, another fascinating rock formation. Before checking into our accommodation for the night at the Hyden Hotel (Ph: 08 98805052)

 

Day 8 Wednesday 10th August 2022 BD 

Wave Rock – Perth

Leaving Hyden and Wave Rock behind we travel through to Corrigin visiting Gorge Rock for our morning tea location. Gorge rock is a natural rock pool offering spectacular panoramic views of the surrounding farmland and countryside. the short walk through the picturesque bushland to get to the pool, which during the spring is lined with beautiful wildflower displays along the trail. Traveling west to historic York the first township founded in the Avon Valley.  From there we will pass through escarpment and enter farming country the Perth Hills before arriving in Perth and our overnight accommodation for the night at Travelodge Perth (Ph: 08 9238 1888)

 

Day 9 Thursday 11th August 2022 B

Perth – Home

Today we depart the largest and most diverse state in Australia, this area is never short of unique and extraordinary experiences and we hope you have enjoyed exploring the South Western corner of Australia with us. Travel to the airport for our flight home.
