We invite and welcome you to come along and enjoy our 9 day Luxury coach tour from Perth, showcasing Margaret River known for its craft breweries, boutiques and surrounding wineries. With 2 nights stays at most motels, this tour is the one to relax and enjoy the beautiful South Western corner of our land. We look forward to your company as we holiday in comfort and style.

 

 

Day 1 –Wednesday 28th July 2021                                             D            

Sydney – Perth

Western Australia is the country’s largest state, making up one-third of its land mass. This morning we will fly from Sydney to Perth. On arrival be greeted by our coach and our friendly crew to transfer us to our 2 nights stay at Travelodge Perth (Ph: 08 9238 1888)

 

Day 2 – Thursday 29th July 2021                                                   B

Perth – Freemantle & Surrounds

After breakfast travel to the nearby port city of Fremantle. The well-preserved city features convict built colonial era buildings, the bustling port area and a variety of streetscapes in different architectural styles. After a city sights tour join a guided visit of the Batavia museum. The museum walks you through the story of the Dutch trading ship, Batavia, which was shipwrecked on the Abrolhos Islands in 1629 and involves mutiny, murder and heroism. Visit the nearby E Shed Markets prior to boarding the cruise which will take us back to Perth along the Swan River. Pass the Royal Perth Yacht Club, the Swan Brewery and Kings Park before disembarking at Elizabeth Quay. This afternoon, visit the beautiful Kings Park which is one of the largest inner city parks in the world. Visited by over 6 million people each year, the stunning location overlooks the city and the silken blue waters of the Swan River. Returning to Perth for tonight’s accommodation with a chance to explore the city with dinner of your own choice (own expense).

 

Day 3 – Friday 30th July 2021                                                       BD

Perth – Bunbury – Busselton – Margaret River

Travel South today to Bunbury and visit Taffys where you can enjoy watching Salt Water Taffy, that American seaside sweet sensation, being pulled and wrapped the old fashioned way! Next we visit the Busselton Jetty extending 1.8 kilometres across stunning Geographe Bay, the heritage listed jetty is the longest timber-piled jetty in the Southern Hemisphere. Jump on board the famous Jetty Train to reach the spectacular Underwater Observatory. Descend 8 metres below the water’s surface to discover some of the 300 different marine species below the jetty. Day 4- Saturday 31st July 2021                                                    BD

Margaret River

Today we explore the beautiful region in and around Margaret River. The area is famous for its wine, delicious produce, surf and a laid back life style. Spend the day tasting and exploring the region, wander through the township of Margaret River discovering the galleries, arts and craft.

 

Day 5 – Sunday 1st August 2021                                             BD

Margaret River – Cape Leeuwin – Pemberton – Walpole

This morning we enjoy a forest drive through the towering Karri trees arriving at Cape Leeuwin, where the Indian Ocean meets the Pacific Ocean. Spend time exploring the area and visit the historic lighthouse before travelling to the timber of town Pemberton. Visit the huge Gloucester Tree which was used for fire spotting. Returning to the coach, wind your way through more spectacular forest to the small village of Walpole and your overnight accommodation at Tree Top Walk Motel (Ph: 08 9840 1444)

 

Day 6 – Monday 2nd August 2021                                                       BD

Walpole – Albany

This morning we will visit the Valley of the Giants to gain a bird’s eye view from the Tree Top Walk through the 400 year old giant forests. This afternoon sees us travelling through Denmark and then arriving at Albany for a 2 nights stay and our accommodation at Ace Motor Inn (Ph: 08 9841 2911)

 

Day 7 – Tuesday 3rd August 2021                                                 BD

Albany

Following breakfast, we travel to nearby Torndirrup National Park to view the geological attractions of The Gap and Natural Bridge featuring dramatic views along the rugged coastline. Continue to Frenchman’s Bay and explore the now abandoned whaling station. As Australia’s last whaling station, it is remarkably well preserved and offers a fascinating insight into the outdated industry. Returning to town take some free time for lunch and explore the shops. On 1 November 1914, the first convoy of Australian and New Zealand troops departed for the First World War from King George Sound, Albany. Visit the National ANZAC Centre to experience an emotional connection with the men and women who were involved in the First World War then return to our hotel for a well-earned rest.

 

Day 8 – Wednesday 4th August 2021                                         BD

Albany – Perth

Departing Albany pause to indulge your senses at The Sandalwood Factory where their friendly staff will guide you through the processing and uses of this exotic product. Explore the Kojonup Visitor Centre with its artefacts and learn about the Noongar (Aboriginal) and Wadjela (European) cultures of the area. Explore the Rose Maze which weaves together the stories of three women from very different cultural backgrounds. In the afternoon visit the Williams Woolshed featuring an extensive range of clothing, produce and history before arriving in Perth for our overnight accommodation at Travelodge Perth (Ph: 08 9238 1888)

 

Day 9 – Thursday 5th August 2021                                            B

Perth – Home

Today we depart the largest and most diverse state in Australia, this area is never short of unique and extraordinary experiences and we hope you have enjoyed exploring the South Western corner of Australia with us. Travel to the airport for our flight home.
