Today we start with a refreshing introductory bus trip on what to do on Lord Howe, where to go and how to do it. Learn everything about the island there is to know. Lord Howe’s first reported sighting was in 1988
from a vessel of the first fleet, HMS Supply, as it was en-route to Botany Bay. The island since became a hub for the whaling industry and now days the abundance of palm tree based products and tourism is the primary industry. Our holiday here and other tourists play a key role in what keeps the island alive and thriving.

Day 3 Tuesday 10th November 2026 BLD
Begin today as we head to North Bay to enjoy the North Bay Turtle & Nature Tour. Enjoy a spectacular glass bottom boat cruise as we are able to view a lar variety fish, turtles, stingrays and amazing corals of the world’s Southern most barrier reef. While exploring the North Bay we will also enjoy a scrumptious BBQ lunch. This afternoon you may choose to do some of the scenic walks to the Old Gulch or Herring Pools or up to Mt. Eliza.

Meet Peter! Peter is a wealth of local knowledge and he is ready to take us on a ‘ramble’. Join in on an easy 3km 3 hour ramble. Peter is joining us today to show us the great scenery & share with us all his information about this fascinating island. Learn about local birds, flora, fossils, palm & tourist industry, bush tucker & medicine plus snippets of volcanic & colourful local history & more.

Day 5 Thursday 12th November 2026 BD
Enjoy this morning at your leisure. You may choose to go to Ned’s beach to feed the fish that are so friendly they swim right around your ankles. There are local stalls that have been selling fish food to tourists for many years the fish have become accustomed to us! This afternoon we get to relax on a cruise that will enable us to enjoy the breathtaking views all around the Island including the spectacular image of Balls Pyramid creeping up in the distance and sheer mountain cliffs. During part of the cruise we will approach the ‘Admiralty Islands’ which are home to a large percentage of the Island’s bird population. This evening is movie night! We will meet at the community Hall for historical movies. We will enjoy a showing of three short historical movies from the flying boat days.

Day 6 Friday 13th November 2026 BD
Today’s agenda will see us back on the water, where instead of looking up at the birds and mountain cliffs we will be looking down into the corals! Day 7 Saturday 14th November 2026 BD

The providence petrel returns to the island to nest and can be ‘called’ out of the air, landing at your feet and even climbing into your lap! Today being our last full day on the island you have the opportunity to return to your most loved part of the island before enjoying dinner together tonight for 1 last time as a group!
