Hunter Valley – Katoomba

We begin our journey today traveling South throughout Sydney’s outer suburbs to our home for the next 3 nights in Katoomba. On our way, enjoy a stopover at Featherdale Wildlife Park in Doonside. Specialising in Australian native wildlife and birds, as well as reptiles and marsupials, get up close and personal with some cute creatures before afternoon travel to our motel; Palais Royal in Katoomba Ph: 4784 6300


Day 2 Wednesday 1st April 2020                               BD

Leuralla Toy and Railway Museum

This morning we start the day with a scenic town drive of our breathtaking surroundings. Next enjoy our visit to the Southern Hemisphere’s largest collection of toys, trains and associated memorabilia at the Leuralla Toy and Railway Museum. This incredible museum is set inside a gorgeous historic early 20th century mansion and is on 5 hectares of award-winning gardens. For the afternoon we have arranged some killer fun to be at our motel. Full of intrigue, you may discover a different side of your fellow suspects! Otherwise you may spend the afternoon at your leisure exploring the local shops, all within walking distance from our motel.

Day 3 Thursday 2nd April 2020                         BD

Scenic World

After our scrumptious breakfast, this morning we travel to Scenic World for our day’s adventures where we will have the opportunity to ride on the Skyway, Cableway and Steepest Incline Railway in the world. Take our visit at your own pace, you may choose to go on all 3, each offering marvellous views of the surrounding waterfalls, forests and the 3 Sisters rock formation. After our visit we will travel over to the Blue Mountain Chocolate Company for a tasty treat before enjoying a relaxing afternoon at your leisure in town or at our accommodation.


Day 4 Friday 3rd April 2020                        BD

Katoomba – Home

Before we bid farewell to Katoomba and the Blue Mountains will be make a stop to see one last spectacular sight being, the Mount Tombah Botanic Gardens. Enjoy the stunning landscape before we head home through the historical Sofala, once a thriving goldmining town on the banks of the Turon River and is now a delightful village where you’ll discover a fascinating heritage. Continuing through Rylstone heading home.
