We invite and welcome you to come along and enjoy an 11 day Luxury coach tour from Broome South to Perth. We know that for many travellers this tour will fill in some gaps and perhaps start a new prospect for others. We are excited to have this tour divert from the coastal roads to go inland to Tom Price in the Pilbara area as it has become a vital part of Western Australia. We look forward to showing you our country in comfort, ease and style.

Day 1 Sunday 23rd July 2023 D
Home – Broome
After home pickups (or other prearranged pickup) we spend this morning travelling to the Sydney airport to board our flight into Broome. Your coach will be waiting for your arrival in Broome to transfer you to our motel. Relax and soak in the atmosphere of Broome before our first dinner together as a group. Our accommodation for the next two nights will be at the Continental Hotel (Ph: 08 9192 1303)

Day 2 Monday 24th July 2023 BD
Broome and Surrounds
Enjoy a leisurely day around Broome, this will allow us for a visit to The Pearl Luggers Museum and The Japanese Cemetery to reflect upon the contribution the Japanese
people made to the local pearling industry. You will also have opportunity to explore this beautiful, isolated, coastal town.
This evening we head out to the beautiful Cable beach, you may wish to choose the optional sunset camel ride (own expense) or just come along to take a stroll and admire the crystal blue water of the Indian ocean.

Day 3 Tuesday 25th July 2023 BD
Broome – Port Hedland
Port Hedland is our destination as we travel along the Western edge of the Great Sandy Desert. Along our way, overlook the Salt Piles and maybe see some of Australia’s longest iron ore trains snake along their tracks into Port Hedland. Accom: Hospitality Port Hedland (Ph: 08 9173 1044)

Day 4 Wednesday 26th July 2023 BD
Port Hedland – Tom Price
After bidding farewell to the coast, we detour along the edge of the Hammersley Ranges inland into the Pilbara Region. The Pilbara region is known for its large, dry, red earth along with its vast mineral deposits. It is these deposits that has made this area a hub for large mining industry facilities. Massive quantities of salt, iron ore, copper and natural gas are produced here and account for approximately 25% of Australia’s national economy. Our accommodation for the next 2 nights is in the iron ore mining town of Tom Price – WA’s highest town above sea level and as such has been dubbed ‘WA’s top town’. Accom: Tom Price Motel (Ph: 08 9189 1101)

Day 5 Thursday 27th July 2023 BD
Tom Price – Karajini National Park
Be transpired today as we journey amongst the astounding local sights. Be amazed by the enormity of the Rio Tinto open cut iron ore mine as we take you into the heart of the operation. View the
enormous Haul Trucks and machinery at work as we travel to the process plant and onto the train load out area. Back in town and after a bite to eat we set a different change of pace as we visit the
nearby Karijini National Park. Take your time to explore some of the stunning waterfalls and Georges in one of Western Australia’s largest national parks. You wouldn’t expect such beautiful and lush national parks to be nestled in the middle of the Pilbra!

Day 6 Friday 28th July 2023 BD
Tom Price – Newman
This morning’s travel sees us travelling South, further inland to Newman. Newman sits amongst rolling landscapes of red granite hills and is the gateway to many unsung heroes of the Pilbara. Newman is a modern town established to cater for the hundreds of people who have relocated to this area to work within the mining sector. Enjoy the views from Radio Hill lookout that oversee the township contrasting to the red desert that surrounds before checking into our motel. Accom: Seasons Newman (Ph: 08 9177 8666)

Day 7 Saturday 29th July 2023 BD
Newman – Meekatharra
Today we travel along the Great Northern Highway, through the Collier Range National Park, and into the lonely Kumarina Roadhouse for our morning cuppa break. We then make our way to Meekatharra, meaning “place of little water”. Meekatharra is a major supply centre for the Murchison region with the surrounding mining and pastoral needs. It is not uncommon for hundreds of road trains to pass through Meekatharra daily transporting stock, fodder and other mining essentials. Our accommodation for tonight is at Auski Inland Motel (Ph: 08 9981 1433)

Day 8 Sunday 30th July 2023 BD
Meekatharra – Geraldton
After saying goodbye to Meekatharra, today we travel through Reedy and Cue towards our lunchtime stopover in Mount Magnet. Mount Magnet is one of the region’s original gold mining towns, and the longest surviving gold mining settlement in Western Australia. This afternoon’s travel will see us journey West towards the coastal town of Geraldton our stopover for the night. Accom: Ocean Centre Hotel (Ph: 08 9921 7777)

Day 9 Monday 31st July 2023 B
The Pinnacles – Perth
Enjoy a scenic drive around Geraldton and admire the architectural genius of the priest Monsignor John Hawes at St. Francis Xavier Cathedral before we take a diversion from our “earthly” tour and head for the moonscape of limestone pillars at The Pinnacles in Nambung National Park. Ponder the formation of these “termite mound” type structures standing like monuments in a desert of time. Leaving The Pinnacles, we head for Perth where our accommodation for the next two nights is in the heart of the city. Tonight you decide what’s for dinner (own expense) as you have the opportunity to select your own cuisine in the city. Accom: Rendezvous Hotel Perth Central (Ph: 08 9481 0866)

Day 10 Tuesday 1st August 2023 BD
Enjoy a free day to relax and explore this magnificent city. The elegant riverside parks and gardens complement the languid beauty of the Swan River in this, Australia’s most “sunny” capital. The main street, Hay Street, with it’s Mall, provides an excellent opportunity for some retail therapy or perhaps just a quiet coffee in one of its many sidewalk cafes (own expense). Our accommodation is within easy walking distance.

Day 11 Wednesday 2nd August 2023 B
Perth – Home
We know all good things must come to an end and today marks the last day of our holiday down the West Coast. We will travel to the Perth airport for you to board your flight into Sydney where another of our coaches will be waiting to return you to your home (or specified drop off location).

You may wish to combine this tour with our 9 Day Margaret River tour that fly’s into Perth today.
