This evening we head out to the beautiful Cable beach, you may wish to choose the optional sunset camel ride (own expense) or just come along to take a stroll and admire the crystal blue water of the Indian Ocean.

Tom Price – Exmouth

Our destination today is at Exmouth, home to the Exmouth Gulf; a rare and precious estuarial system. Surrounded by mangroves, white beaches, rugged ranges and is home to hundreds of incredible species of sea life. Travelling our isolated West Coast is so different to anywhere else in our country. We will travel what looks like the same stretch of road for hours but then come across something so beautiful and unique as Exmouth. Further travel sees us in Geraldton where we will stop to ponder at The HMAS Sydney Memorial Lookout and reflect with “the waiting woman” as to the fate of the sailors who perished in this wartime disaster.

Enjoy a drive around town and admire the architectural genius of the priest Monsignor John Hawes at St Francis Xavier Cathedral. An early motel check-in will allow free time to relax or further explore this city on the Batavia Coast. Accom: Ibis Styles Geraldton (Ph. 08 9326 7710)

Leaving The Pinnacle we head for Perth where our accommodation for the next two nights can be found in the heart of the city, the Mercure Perth, Irwin Street (Ph: 08 93267000). Tonight, you decide what’s for dinner (own expense) as you have the opportunity to select your own cuisine in the city.

Perth

Enjoy a free day to relax and explore this magnificent city. The elegant riverside parks and gardens compliment the languid beauty of the Swan River in Australia’s most “sunny” capital. The main street, Hay Street, with its mall, provides an excellent opportunity for some retail therapy or perhaps just a quiet coffee in one of its many sidewalk cafes (own expense). Our accommodation is within easy walking distance.
